Greek Women's High School (Athens)
We implemented a collaboration with Greek Girls' Lyceum in Athens, strengthening the bridge between tradition and modern design.
Two sisters, Era and Evi, come from different paths, but share the same belief that hands can do anything… as long as there is imagination, passion and soul. They decided to collaborate and highlight the original artistic vein that unites them by establishing a space that is a meeting point and safe space for every creative and restless person. The name Laruc (Learning, Art, Recycle, Unique, Crafts) describes the objects and activities that one can find in their hospitable home. Every visitor will find at Laruc decorative and useful creations from recyclable materials and not only, but will also be able to learn himself or herself to make corresponding objects thanks to the seminars provided in the space. What differentiates their work is a double technique, painting and embroidery on fabric, which gives a three-dimensional feel to the design and makes the creations unique. Having evolved through their participation in popular craft fairs and attending specialized courses in handling various materials, they have developed their own definition of handmade elegance and are eager to share it with those who appreciate the beauty of life and creativity.
